CAPACITY UPGRADE KIT RB26DETT 2.8L STEP2 86.5 BCD Based on the proven 2.8L STEP2 kit, this has been upgraded by combining it with a lightweight, high-rigidity forged BCD piston. Features (1) Piston kit Thin wall thickness achieved by using A2618 material, which is resistant to high temperatures. Structural rigidity increased by adopting a bridge structure. Profile optimization shortens skirt height and reduces weight. Shortening the piston pin reduces the weight of the boss. Two-layer coating of fluororesin and molybdenum reduces friction. (2) Crankshaft Stroke: 77.7mm Uses specially forged material. In addition, full counter provides good rotation balance and allows for high rotation. Lightweight pin journal and center are hollowed out to improve response. (3) Connecting rod Uses specially forged material. H-section to withstand powerful explosive loads. WPC treatment is applied to the surface to improve fatigue strength.

Piston kit + connecting rod + crankshaft Features This is a high-strength kit developed for use with high power. (1) Piston kit Piston weight: 324g Thin wall thickness is achieved by using A2618 material, which is strong against high temperatures. By manufacturing it by cutting, excess wall thickness is eliminated. By adopting a bridge structure, structural rigidity is increased. The two-layer molybdenum coating improves initial break-in and reduces friction. By shortening the piston pin, the boss part is lighter. By adopting a φ22 piston pin, bending rigidity is improved. By making the piston pin thinner and shorter, the weight increase from the conventional φ21 pin is eliminated. (2) Crankshaft Stroke: 77.7mm A machined full counter crankshaft is adopted. In order to reduce the burden on the main bearings under high power output, the counterweight is efficiently increased and the balance rate is increased. To accommodate maximum output, the material has been changed to nitrided steel and ion nitriding has been applied to increase surface hardness, thicken the hardened layer, and improve durability. (3) Connecting rod A machined H-section connecting rod made of nickel-chrome steel is used. Compatible with φ22 piston pins. The surface has been WPC treated to improve fatigue strength.

(1) Piston kit Piston weight: 324g We have achieved thin wall thickness by using A2618 material, which has high heat resistance. By manufacturing it by cutting, we have eliminated excess material.
